To our local photographers, we’re so glad you’re here – and that our store can be a shared space for the community. We continue to be amazed at your engagement with our store and the appreciation so many of you have shown us. So thank you for the positive relationships we’ve built.
For those of you who are new here, you might wonder if we have a photography policy. We don’t – and we don’t want one – but it’d be a lie to say we hadn’t thought about the need for one. Instead, we’re asking for everyone’s help in making this all possible so every person who enters our store is able to enjoy the space – and get where they need to go while they’re here.
So, A Few Guidelines
1. Help Keep Main Aisles Clear
Whether you’re taking a photo or just getting ready for the next one, we need your help in keeping our main pathways open. That means not taking photos across an aisle and asking your group to stand to the side as they wait.
2. Share the Space
As some locations are especially popular for photo-taking – the truck, the doorstep, the Atrium – taking just a few minutes at each spot is great. That way others have a chance to use those spaces as well.
3. Help Us Keep Things Looking Good
We don’t mind at all if you borrow a prop for your photos – a doorstep planter or a few houseplants. But we put a lot of work into the way our store looks, and we need your help in keeping our displays and products looking their best. With that, we ask that displays be left as we have them.
4. Encourage Carpooling
And for large groups – weddings, proms, family reunions – encourage your group to carpool if at all possible so we can keep parking available for everyone who visits our store.
Be a Voice in the Conversation
We know professional photographers here in Omaha have a strong, collaborative community with a lot of support for one another and for our city. We’ve experienced it here, and we love being a part of that in some small way. Whether it’s here at our store, in other public spaces, or in personal conversation, your voice matters most in continuing this positive dialogue – encouraging respect and collaboration – that makes our space and others available for the entire community to enjoy.
