Seed-Starting 101

Starting plants from seed is a rewarding way to get a head start on the growing season, grow more for less, and try new varieties you can’t always find in stores. This seminar covers the basics you need to start seeds with confidence while we wait for spring.

Led by Mulhalls’ team member Celeste, this session will cover soil, water, and light essentials, simple supplies you may already have at home, and how to read seed packets to know when and how to start vegetables, annuals, and perennials. You’ll also learn how to care for seedlings through the colder months so they’re ready for the garden when planting season arrives.
