Grower’s Guide: Fall Bulbs
Planting flower bulbs in the fall is a simple way to add loads of colorful blooms to your spring garden. And while planting bulbs is actually pretty easy, it isn’t always so easy deciding which bulbs or how many types to plant. To give you some ideas and to help you get started, Woody Wood will present Fall Bulbs, the next seminar in our Grower’s Guide series. From favorites like tulips and daffodils to more unusual flowers like scilla and fritillaria, Woody will share the unique traits of the various types of bulbs – plus a few planting ideas that incorporate their variety of colors, heights, and bloom times. She’ll also explain how to amend your soil as well as the importance of planting at the right soil temperature and depth so your bulbs can get a healthy start.
It might seem early to be talking about next spring’s garden, but when those first colorful tulips appear in your yard after a long, cold winter, you’ll be glad you planned ahead. If you’re interested in learning more, just give us a quick call to let us know you’ll be joining us.
