Botanical Painting: A Workshop with Oana Befort

In her enchanting botanical illustrations, local artist Oana Befort combines her love for plants and flowers with influences from traditional folk motifs, her own memories, and the innocence of everyday family life to create images so captivating, you’ll find yourself lost in each charming detail. Earlier this year, we were honored to welcome Oana to the store to present a special hands-on watercolor workshop, and we’re excited to share that she’s coming back – this time with projects featuring the rich colors and textures of the harvest and holiday seasons.

As a freelance designer and illustrator, Oana has shared her remarkable talent with a list of notable clients including Trader Joe’s, Anthropologie, Hallmark, and Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market. And in this workshop, she’ll share her talent and years of experience with you too. With Oana’s guidance, you’ll learn tools and techniques you can use to create your own beautiful botanical watercolor images – much like the ones she creates as a professional artist. After the workshop, you’ll be able to add your own decorative touches to gift tags, greeting cards, wrapping paper, and more.
