All About Native Plants

We’re calling July our unofficial Native Plant Month – and we’re starting it off with a seminar led by Ian Peterson, Assistant Extension Educator in Horticulture, Landscape, and Environmental Systems.

In this talk, Ian will walk us through the vital role native plants play in supporting pollinators – from bees to butterflies and beyond – and how thoughtful plant choices can make a big difference. You’ll learn about pollinator-friendly habitat, basic landscape planning, and a few standout Great Plains natives to try at home.
