A Houseplant Event
Plants are our passion. And we love sharing that passion with you. That’s why we’re excited to celebrate some of our favorite plants from the greenhouse and see some favorites from your collection too. Joining us for this special event is Coneflower Creamery, so grab a dish of amazing local ice cream and enjoy the afternoon in our greenhouse among our collection of beautiful houseplants.
Houseplants 101
Plant Care team member Woody Wood will lead a seminar starting at 1:30pm about some of our favorite houseplants along with our best tips to keep your plant collection thriving. She’ll walk you through the variety of sizes, shapes, and growth habits that houseplants can have and give ideas for choosing a space in your home to display them. She’ll also cover helpful maintenance topics like repotting and addressing the occasional insect or disease issue.
Houseplant Photo Contest
Share your best photos of your own houseplant collection in our photo contest taking place on Instagram. First place winner will receive a $100 gift card to our shop and be featured over on our blog. Second and third place winners will each receive a gift card too – for $50 or $25. Head to @mulhalls for all the details and enter your photo by midnight on January 21st to be considered in the final voting taking place at the event.
Potting Station
If you find a new plant you’d like to purchase, use our potting tables and fresh soil to transplant it into a new pot – or a pot you’ve brought from home. It’s a great way to expand your indoor plant collection without needing to bring home an entire bag of soil.
Plant ID Quiz
Stop by our Plant ID booth and show us how many houseplants you can name. If your plant knowledge is impressive enough to pass our quiz, you’ll receive a new little plant to add to your home collection.
