Welcoming The Nut Hutte

The holidays are an exciting time for the senses, and so many of our cherished Christmas traditions center on the tastes and aromas we look forward to enjoying year after year. Tradition means a lot to us here. That’s why we’re excited about our new partnership with the folks at The Nut Hutte, a well-loved Omaha business whose fresh, German-roasted nuts have become an important holiday tradition for so many in our community and across the Midwest.

Stop by our Solarium to soak in the incredible smell and grab some fresh, roasted nuts to go – they’re here, roasting on site every day for the holiday season. Check below to find their schedule.

About The Nut Hutte

After 20-plus years in business, The Nut Hutte owners Jan and Ben Ihrke know that the secret to making a lot of friends in a hurry is to grab them by the nose. The tantalizing scent of their German-roasted nuts – sweetly coated in a fragrant mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla – fills the air and lures in curious snack-seekers from every direction. You may have seen The Nut Hutte in action during past holidays at a local mall or at a farmer’s market, passing out their fragrant almonds, pecans, and cashews from their traditional German copper kettle. For the Ihrkes, quality and tradition are important, and like us, Jan and Ben are delighted to see so many familiar faces return each year as part of their holiday traditions.

Fresh German-Roasted Nuts

The Nut Hutte’s delicious nuts are roasted on-site in a German copper kettle, so they’re fresh as they can be when you crunch down on that first sweet bite. Their German-roasted almonds are the most popular choice, but the candied pecans and cashews are fantastic too. You’ll also find salted cashews on the menu, plus pistachios, smoked almonds, and chocolate-coated almonds and peanuts. Each variety can be purchased individually or packaged in any combination of three or seven varieties in your choice of holiday-themed tins. Their tins make a perfect holiday treat for the family or as a thoughtful gift – if you can stand to give it away, that is.

Look For Them in Our Solarium
