Trees for Omaha
Together with the City of Omaha and the Nebraska Forest Service, Keep Omaha Beautiful is planting thousands of native trees across the city – creating a diverse and resilient urban forest for generations to enjoy.
Community Beautification
Working with city officials, schools, and neighborhoods, Keep Omaha Beautiful works to transform neglected, polluted lots into beautiful community spaces with native trees, grasses, and pollinator-friendly plants.
Environmental Education
Through interactive learning, Keep Omaha Beautiful teaches people of all ages about waste reduction, healthy gardening practices, and other ways to make a positive impact.
Litter Cleanup
With thousands of volunteers involved, Keep Omaha Beautiful organizes periodic litter cleanups and bulk material collections to keep trash and recyclables out of our natural environment.
Only Rain Down the Storm Drain
Keep Omaha Beautiful’s team of volunteers also installs no-dumping decals on storm drains and provides education to help prevent pollution of our natural waterways.

Our Creek Cleanup
To kick-off this exciting partnership, our team hosted a cleanup event in September with Keep Omaha Beautiful – right in our own backyard. Dozens of our team members took part, and together, we pulled close to 500 pounds of plastic, paper, metal, and other trash out of the Big Papillion and Eagle Run creeks and surrounding area. It was an eye-opening experience, and we’re looking forward to more cleanup events in the future.
Celebrating with Swag
To celebrate and help grow the conversation, we’ve adopted a new motto – keep our city wild. It’s our rallying cry to welcome nature back to the city and engage more advocates in this important message. To spread the word, we’ve created new shirts, enamel pins, hats, and stickers – designed here in-house. We hope you’ll pick up your own and help us spread the word!
