The magic of the holiday season. It’s something our entire team anticipates each year with the arrival of Santa Claus himself and two of his own reindeer. Having them at the store is one of our most cherished traditions. And we love sharing that excitement with folks of all ages who have made visiting with Santa and his reindeer a part of their Christmas traditions too.
Meeting Santa’s Reindeer
Several years ago, Santa brought two of his reindeer down from the north to meet his Omaha friends. Everyone enjoyed their stay so much – the reindeer, our team, and visitors alike – that they’ve come to visit every year since. It’s become a cherished tradition for us, and it’s truly a treat to watch the kids’ eyes widen and hear their excited squeals as they spot those huge antlers and that warm fur for the first time.
It’s always an honor for us to take care of these magnificent animals during their long stay. Our dedicated team partners with a local veterinarian to make sure Santa’s reindeer have everything they need to feel welcome and comfortable. And most of all, we love to see families return each year to take photos of their children growing up with the reindeer.
Santa’s reindeer make their home among our forest of fresh-cut Christmas trees. They’ll arrive and be settled in by this Saturday, November 23rd – you’re invited to visit them anytime during store hours until they head north again on Sunday, December 15th. While they’re here, they’ll spend their days meeting friends and resting up before their big night on Christmas Eve.
Our Members’ Visits with Santa
For many children, it’s vitally important that Santa hears first-hand their earnest wishes for Christmas morning – serious business like this requires direct communication, you know. And Santa is always happy to oblige.
That’s why we’re very excited to welcome Mr. Claus for our special Members’ Visits with Santa. Starting on December 1st through December 15th, Santa will be here each Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 3pm and on Fridays from 4pm to 7pm. Be sure to bring your camera – it’s the perfect photo opportunity for this year’s Christmas card. And when you come, bring along any letters or drawings you have for Santa too. There’s a mail slot to drop them right into his bag – we know he reads and cherishes each one.
