Plant Swap

Come join Omaha’s community of plant-minded people for the chance to talk plants and share some extras from your own plant collection. We’re hosting a Plant Swap in the greenhouse with our friends the Master Gardeners – with live music, food, ice cream, great company, and tons of amazing plants.

Drop off your extra plants starting at 12:00pm. Any disease- and pest-free plants are welcome – houseplants, herbs, hostas, daylilies, any plant at all that’s healthy and growing. And gardening books are welcome too. We’ll trade your contribution for points you can use to choose different plants or books someone else has brought in. Shopping at the Plant Swap will begin at 1:00pm.

While you wait to browse the selection, enjoy live music from local singer-songwriter Topher Booth. Meet some of our friends from local plant-loving organizations – The Big Garden, No More Empty Pots, and Master Naturalists – to learn about the incredible work that’s taking place here in our community. Or get all your gardening questions answered at the Ask a Master Gardener booth. Grab some lunch from local restaurant Farine + Four, ice cream from Coneflower Creamery, and drinks from Myrtle & Cypress Coffeehouse. Be sure to bring along some cash for food and drinks – we wouldn’t want you to miss out.

We’re excited to get together with our plant-loving community for an afternoon of swapping plants, sharing stories, and enjoying great food. We hope you’ll join us and find something new to add to your garden or houseplant collection!
