Those fast-growing pothos vines and green foliage have a way of transforming just about any room into a lush, indoor jungle if you let them. Pothos are classic houseplants and for good reason. They’re adaptable, easy to care for, and offer lots of beautiful patterns in addition to the classic green. Here we introduce five of our favorite pothos that we think you should know.
Pothos Pictus
While not a member of the genus Epipremnum like other pothos, Scindapsus pictus – or satin pothos – earns an honorary spot in the group. The heart-shaped, dark, sage-green foliage is scattered liberally with irregular silver spots. And that ethereal, silvery sheen is just mesmerizing too.
Pothos ‘NJoy’
‘NJoy’ has the perfect name. Cheerful white variegation pops against fresh emerald green in each leaf – like a string of bright lights wound throughout its tumbling foliage.
Pothos ‘Neon’
This guy’s glowing chartreuse coloring draws immediate attention to whatever shelf, table, or hanging basket he finds himself in.
Pothos ‘Marble Queen’
Is she green with cream variegation or cream with green? ‘Marble Queen’ is such a perfect speckled blend of both, it’s sometimes hard to tell.
Pothos ‘Pearls N Jade’
Another variegated beauty in the pothos clan, ‘Pearls N Jade’ grows a little slower than some of the others and features a softer color palette – the perfect friend for a desk or nightstand. Look for streaks and blocks of cream and gray in its sage-green foliage.
So Easy to Love
Pothos – in every one of its lovely forms – is a plant everyone falls in love with. Whether you have one plant in your collection or fifty, a pothos is always a great addition. The next time you’re in the Greenhouse, take a look – we bet one of these beauties will find its way home with you.
