Organic Lawn Fertilization
Using organic fertilizers creates a healthier lawn which will eventually allow you to fertilize less often and your turf will also need less water.
- Mid April Apply Alfalfa Meal or Corn Glutin
Alfalfa Meal greens up turf and enhances the soil.
Corn Glutin acts as a pre-emergent and a post-emergent, which helps control broadleaf and grassy weeds. The control increases over multiple uses.
In 4-6 Weeks
- Mid MayApply Alfalfa Meal
- Mid July Apply Parasitic Nematodes for Grub Control and water.
*Keep even moisture in lawn to keep nematodes active.
- September Apply Poultry waste based product and water.
- Mid Oct.-Mid Nov. Apply Poultry waste based product and water.
Spot treat weeds with Horticlultural vinegar. This should only be applied when it is warm out and only apply on the spots you want to kill.
